Through our Integrated Farm Planning (IFP) project funding, we are delivering a two-day workshop designed to help you create a Freshwater Farm Plan (FWFP) that meets national requirements and supports entry into farm assurance schemes such as NZFAP Plus.
- Day 1: 18 February 2026, time TBC
- Day 2: 5 March 2026, time TBC
Under current government regulations, all pastoral farms over 50 hectares are required to have a Freshwater Farm Plan.
What you’ll gain:
- A compliant Freshwater Farm Plan under the new regulations
- Alignment with NZFAP Plus requirements
- A plan that is stored online, making it easier to keep up to date over time
- Expert, guided support throughout the workshop
As part of the workshop, you’ll use a planning tool developed by QCONZ (auditors for NZFAP Plus). During the sessions you will:
- Map farm infrastructure and land management units
- Identify critical source areas
- Record actions already completed and plan future actions
- Work through all components required under NZFAP Plus
Your plan will be uploaded into QCONZ, where it can be maintained and updated as your farm system or requirements change. The QCONZ system is secure, with access limited to you through your own login.
This workshop is fully funded, including a 12-month subscription to the QCONZ tool for your Freshwater Farm Plan.
Already have a plan? This is a great opportunity to update and strengthen it.
