A joint Marlborough and Nelson DFA branch initiative, aimed at bringing experts and farmers together for an educational event exploring the current challenges ticks cause in the deer industry.
Ticks are becoming more widespread in NZ and can cause stock discomfort, damage to velvet/coproducts and in severe cases anaemia, weakness and death of young fawns. Following on from the Waikato Big Tick Day Out in April, this event brings together tick experts and farmers together in an interactive day to share their knowledge, tips and tricks.
Lunch will be provided at 1:15 pm and the workshop will finish by 4:00pm.
Please register by Tuesday 25th August for catering purposes.
A detailed programme will be provided shortly.
